On Saturday Leopold's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Notre Dame Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since October 8, 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Leopold got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 20-25, 25-20.

Rylie Schreiner paced Leopold's offense, picking up 24 kills. Schreiner got some help from Ashtyn Van De Ven and her 28 assists. Van De Ven and Schreiner didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Leopold's win bumped their record up to 8-0-2. As for Notre Dame, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6-2.

Leopold didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Central on the 13th. Notre Dame has also already played their next game (against Jackson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
