Soccer Game Preview: Pacifica vs. Westminster

The Pacifica Mariners are taking a road trip to take on the Westminster Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pacifica's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Pacifica turned things around against Costa Mesa on Monday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Westminster won against Loara on Wednesday with four goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Friday. The Lions walked away with a 4-2 win over Century. Given Westminster's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked seventh, while Century are ranked 431st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Westminster's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. Pacifica's draw gives them a new season record of 0-9-3.
