Softball Recap: East Columbus Gators vs. Ashley Screaming Eagle

East Columbus won the last time they faced Ashley, and things went their way on Thursday too. The East Columbus Gators walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Ashley Screaming Eagle. The win made it back-to-back victories for East Columbus.

Gracie Coyle made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Coyle has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in five consecutive pitching appearances. Coyle was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
