Arlington Heights put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their game with ease, bagging a 65-0 victory over the Polytechnic Parrots. With that win, the Yellowjackets brought their scoring average up to 31.7 points per game.

Arlington Heights' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carson James, who rushed for 128 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries. James is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 124 every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Carmelo Carter, who rushed for 73 yards and one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Arlington Heights was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 354 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 212 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Arlington Heights' defense and their nine sacks. It was truly a group effort as Kelle Johnson, Carter James, and Dino Walker picked up two apiece. Another thorn in Polytechnic's side was Caynan James, who picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Arlington Heights' win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Polytechnic, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Arlington Heights has already played their next matchup, a 50-47 loss against Saginaw on the 9th. As for Polytechnic, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-20 defeat against Paschal on the 10th.
