Basketball Game Preview: Perry Commodores vs. Upper Scioto Valley Rams

The Perry Commodores will venture away from home to face off against the Upper Scioto Valley Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Perry comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Perry and Temple Christian had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Commodores took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pioneers on Friday. Commodores fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Pioneers since Friday.

Meanwhile, Upper Scioto Valley entered their matchup against Ada on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Rams were beaten by the Bulldogs 53-21. The game marked the Rams' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Upper Scioto Valley suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 5-5. As for Perry, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Perry came up short against Upper Scioto Valley in their previous meeting back in January of 2025, falling 61-50. Can the Commodores avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
