Softball Recap: Shiner's Loss Ends Ten-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Shiner lost against Columbus back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Comanches came up short against the Cardinals, falling 7-1. The game marked the Comanches' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Shiner's loss ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 21-5. As for Columbus, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5-1 record this season.

Shiner does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Columbus, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Luling at 5:00 p.m.
