Life Waxahachie put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Venus Bulldogs. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 262nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Life Waxahachie's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. As for Venus, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.

Coming up, Life Waxahachie is taking a road trip to square off against Ferris at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
