Basketball Recap: Fairfield Central Takes a Loss

Fairfield Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 51-42 to the Woodmont Wildcats.

Fairfield Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Woodmont, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-5 record.

Fairfield Central will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Newberry at 6:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Woodmont and Elbert County will round out the year against one another at at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Elbert County will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Woodmont surely won't give up without a fight.
