Baseball Recap: Pecos Takes a Loss

The matchup between Pecos and Tucumcari on Saturday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Panthers lost 15-4 to the Rattlers. The Panthers have struggled against the Rattlers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Pecos' defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Tucumcari, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

Coming up, Pecos will venture away from home to take on Raton at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tucumcari, they will head out to face off against Santa Rosa at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rattlers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 17.1 runs per game this season.
