Basketball Recap: Wapello's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Wapello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell to the Lone Tree Lions 60-55. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Wapello's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-4. As for Lone Tree, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

After both having extra time off, Wapello and Winfield-Mt. Union will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Lone Tree, they will host Cedar Valley Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Cedar Valley Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
