Four-star receiver Jeff Thomas of East St. Louis (Ill.) committed to Miami on Wednesday morning.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound enigma is regarded as the sixth-rated receiver and No. 40 overall recruit by 247Sports. He chose the Hurricanes over Illinois, Michigan and Missouri.

Thomas totaled 1,101 receiving yards, 1,384 total yards and 16 touchdowns in lifting the Flyers to an Illinois Class 7A state championship this year. He also capped off his stellar senior season by setting an Under Armour All-American game record for receiving yards (148) and claiming MVP honors.
