Sutton had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Fillmore Central Panthers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

While Sutton won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 27-25.

Katie Baldwin paced Sutton's offense, picking up ten kills. Baldwin got some help from Kayden Kauk and her ten assists. Kyla Griess controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Sutton's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Fillmore Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Sutton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Raymond Central on the 20th. As for Fillmore Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against St. Cecilia on the 20th.
