Baseball Recap: Knippa Comes Up Short

Knippa lost against La Pryor back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Knippa Crushers fell just short of the La Pryor Bulldogs by a score of 14-13. The Crushers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Knippa got a massive performance out of Johnny R, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. R is becoming a predictor of Knippa's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't). Cole M also deserves some recognition as he hit his first doubles of the season.

Even though they lost, Knippa was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.

Knippa's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for La Pryor, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.

Knippa has already played their next contest, a 17-0 defeat against D'Hanis on the 14th. As for La Pryor, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-4 loss against Sabinal on the 12th.
