Basketball Recap: De Soto's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

De Soto had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 59-43 win over the Weston Silver Eagles on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 48-32 back in December of 2024.

De Soto's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Weston, they dropped their record down to 3-10 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

De Soto will face off against Seneca at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Weston, they will be playing at home against Riverdale at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Weston is facing Riverdale at the right time seeing as Riverdale is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
