Volleyball Preview: Eureka Wildcats vs. Logan-Rogersville Wildcats
The Eureka Wildcats will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Logan-Rogersville Wildcats at 9:00 a.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, Eureka earned a 2-0 win over Jefferson City.
Eureka easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-19.
Meanwhile, Logan-Rogersville made easy work of Bolivar on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.
One reason for the win was Logan-Rogersville's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-16, 25-12.
Logan-Rogersville can attribute much of their success to Taylor Wray, who had 13 digs and two aces, and Madelyn Wilson, who had six digs. That's the most aces Wray has posted in her last 11 games.
Eureka has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-12 record this season. As for Logan-Rogersville, their record now sits at 14-11-2.
