Basketball Game Preview: Payton College Prep Grizzlies vs. Elmwood Park Tigers

The Payton College Prep Grizzlies will take on the Elmwood Park Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Payton College Prep is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Muchin College Prep 84-21. The Grizzlies' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Elmwood Park waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Golden Tigers 63-35.

Elmwood Park's win bumped their record up to 13-19. As for Payton College Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 15-12.

Payton College Prep was able to grind out a solid win over Elmwood Park in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 46-33. Will Payton College Prep repeat their success, or does Elmwood Park have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
