Softball Recap: Maynard Tigers vs. Ayer Shirley Panthers
It was a proper cat-fight when Maynard challenged Ayer Shirley on Wednesday. The Tigers never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won five contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Jillian Macfarlane made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.
