Recap: Hereford Whitefaces vs. Borger Bulldogs
In what's become a running theme this season, the Hereford Whitefaces gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. Everything went their way against Borger as Hereford made off with a 64-39 win. Given Hereford's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Borger is ranked 1300th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Borger's loss came despite strong showings from Tahqulin Brooks and Kaeden Jennings. Brooks dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds, while Jennings scored 12 points along with three steals. Jennings continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.
Hereford's victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Borger, their loss was their 15th straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-19.
Hereford will take on Pampa at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pampa is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Borger, they will head out on the road to take on Perryton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
