Basketball Game Preview: Murfreesboro Rattlers vs. Mount Ida Lions

The Murfreesboro Rattlers will take on the Mount Ida Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Murfreesboro came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were outmatched by Dierks and fell 59-27. While losing is never fun, the Rattlers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Outlaws are ranked 36th).

Meanwhile, Mount Ida was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 43-39 to Union Christian Academy.

Mount Ida's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Murfreesboro, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.
