Basketball Recap: Lincoln County Find Success

Hephzibah came into Saturday's match looking for another win against Lincoln County, but Syriah Hogan wouldn't allow it. The Lincoln County Red Devils walked away with a 51-39 victory over the Hephzibah Rebels on Saturday thanks in part to Hogan, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 boards. Those 27 points gave her a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Kadence Elam, who made all 5 shots she took for 10 points and eight rebounds. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

The win got Lincoln County back to even at 4-4. As for Hephzibah, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln County will venture away from home to take on Harlem at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hephzibah, they will head out to face off against West Laurens at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
