The Ocoee Knights will square off against the Lyman Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Ocoee's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Jones with a sharp 16-0 win. Considering the Knights have won nine matchups by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Addy Sims was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Sims was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Jadore Thompson looked comfortable as she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Lyman ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Orangewood Christian 16-15. The victory was nothing new for the Greyhounds as they're now sitting on three straight.
Lyman let Makayla Darwent and Ava Campanale run wild. Darwent went 4-for-6 with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Campanale got on base in two of her six plate appearances with five RBI and three runs. Lyman's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Ocoee has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .493. It's a different story for Lyman, though, as they've only averaged .353. Will they be able to contain Ocoee's hitters?
Ocoee came out on top in a nail-biter against Lyman when the teams last played back in April of 2023, sneaking past 6-4. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Greyhounds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
