Football Recap: Gordon Lee's Punishing Run Game Keeps Rolling

Gordon Lee lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Fannin County, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's matchup. The Trojans beat the Rebels on Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 45-7. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 27 points or more this season.

A big part of Gordon Lee's win came down to the chemistry between Dustin Day and his top target Landon Norton. Day threw for 217 yards and two TDs while completing 91.7% of his passes while Norton picked up 82 receiving yards and one score. The dominant performance also gave Day a new career-high in passer rating (170.1).

Gordon Lee was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 291 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 152 rushing yards in 20 consecutive games dating back to last season.
