Basketball Recap: Utica Academy of Science Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Utica Academy of Science had won four straight road games dating back to last season and Amari Berkley did his part to make it five on Friday. The Utica Academy of Science Atoms came out on top against the Sherburne-Earlville Marauders by a score of 73-60 thanks in part to Berkley, who went 11 of 18 on his way to 36 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Damarcus Mason, who posted 11 points and four steals. He has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last four times he's played.

Utica Academy of Science's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Sherburne-Earlville, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Utica Academy of Science and Proctor will round out the year against one another at at 8:30 p.m. on December 27th. Utica Academy of Science is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.5 points per game this season. As for Sherburne-Earlville, they will challenge Charlotte Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Sherburne-Earlville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
