Volleyball Recap: Philip Comes Up Short

Philip came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Hill City Rangers. The defeat continues a trend for the Scotties in their meetings with the Rangers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-13, 25-13.

Philip's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Hill City, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Philip will face off against Sully Buttes at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hill City, they will head out to face off against Rapid City Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
