Baseball Recap: Sussex Central Tigers vs. Cumberland Dukes
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sussex Central had no problem doing just that on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cumberland Dukes, sneaking past 10-9. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 7-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Sussex Central let Leon Jones and Kamari Everett run wild. Jones went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Everett went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most stolen bases Jones has posted since back in March. Marzavion Stith also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
