Basketball Recap: Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] Comes Up Short on the Road Against Oskaloosa

Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 57-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oskaloosa Bears. The Cyclones were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] will take on rival Atchison County on Saturday. Meanwhile, Oskaloosa is set to face off against their familiar foe Pleasant Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
