Volleyball Recap: Cross Stingrays vs. Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hilton Head Christian Academy, Cross was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors 3-0. The Stingrays were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Warriors, so the Stingrays were just returning the favor.
The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-19, 26-24.
Despite the loss, Andrew Jackson Academy still got an impressive performance from McKinnley Beard, who had 15 kills and six aces. Beard is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 33 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Kinslie Carson, who had four digs, two aces, and one block.
