Basketball Game Preview: Gem State Adventist Academy Jaguars vs. Compass Charter Aviators

The Gem State Adventist Academy Jaguars will venture away from home to face off against the Compass Charter Aviators at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Gem State Adventist Academy had to suffer through a 53-17 loss at the hands of Rimrock. The Jaguars have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite their loss, Gem State Adventist Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Ava Miler, who posted six points, was perhaps the best of all.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Compass Charter's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to Wilder 44-39.

Gem State Adventist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Compass Charter, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 10-4.

Gem State Adventist Academy came up short against Compass Charter in their previous matchup back in December of 2020, falling 42-31. Thankfully for Gem State Adventist Academy, Holly Harbison (who went 7 of 12 en route to 15 points along with eight steals and seven boards) won't be suiting up this time.
