Creekside won against Columbia on Tuesday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Creekside Knights walked away with a 5-1 win over the North Marion Colts. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Colts, too.

Gavin Duprey tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February.

On the hitting side, Creekside let Nicholas Romeu and Connor Balazic run wild. Romeu went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Balazic went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Parker Morton, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

Creekside lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Creekside and bumps their season record up to 6-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for North Marion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.

Coming up, Creekside will square off against Nease at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Marion, they will take on Trinity Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on March 19th.
