Baseball Recap: Righetti Find Success

Righetti won the last time they faced Lompoc and things went their way on Friday too. The Warriors skirted past the Braves 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Israel Rocha spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kamron Walker was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

Righetti's record is now 16-8. As for Lompoc, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Righetti will venture away from home to challenge Rio Mesa at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lompoc, they will head out on the road to take on Arroyo Grande at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
