Jacksonville is a perfect 10-0 against Havelock since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Jacksonville Cardinals will host the Havelock Rams at 6:00 p.m. Jacksonville's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Jacksonville's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Laney 1-0. The win was all the more spectacular given the Cardinals' disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 139th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 36th).

Jacksonville's one-goal win came courtesy of Ava Stephens, which was the first she's scored this season.

While Havelock didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-15-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on East Carteret with a sharp 6-0 victory on Thursday. Considering the Rams have won five games by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Havelock used a slightly different lineup for their bout with East Carteret. Three players hit the pitch for the first time this season: Amber Chlastawa, Madelyn Barnes, and Reagan Snow. Snow made the most of the opportunity, putting up one assist A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.

Havelock is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Jacksonville's win bumped their record up to 2-3-2.

Everything went Jacksonville's way against Havelock in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Jacksonville made off with a 9-0 victory. Will Jacksonville repeat their success, or does Havelock have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
