Basketball Recap: Ridgeway Comes Up Short

Ridgeway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Westview Chargers 65-27. That's two games in a row now that the Roadrunners have lost by exactly 38 points.

Despite the loss, Ridgeway saw an underclassman step up: freshman Austin Valentine posted ten points and five boards.

Ridgeway's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Westview, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-5.

Ridgeway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 82-48 loss against West Creek on the 30th. As for Westview, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Obion County at 6:00 p.m.
