Flomaton extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 4-2. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 10-9 W against the Citronelle Wildcats. That's more bragging rights for the Hurricanes, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kamden Martin made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched 1.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was even better at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ross Bell, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Seth Hammonds, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Flomaton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive matchups.
As for Citronelle, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. On the bright side, the nine- run performance marked their highest-scoring contest to date.
On Citronelle's side, Caden Richardson made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. JJ Rivers also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Flomaton will venture away from home to face off against Foley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hurricanes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Citronelle, they will take on Fruitdale at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
