On Friday Archbishop Wood's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Harry S. Truman Tigers. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 6-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jack Coughlin tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Archbishop Wood let Jimmy Casey and Zach Neeld run wild. Casey scored a run while going 2-for-2, while Neeld scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Neeld also hit a triple, marking his first of the season.

Archbishop Wood pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Harry S. Truman, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Archbishop Wood will head out to take on Roman Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Harry S. Truman, they will be playing at home against Neshaminy at 3:45 a.m. on Monday. The contest will give Harry S. Truman their first taste of in-conference action this season.
