Baseball Recap: Proviso East Takes a Loss

Proviso East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 12-0 to the Glenbard West Hilltoppers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 6-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Proviso East's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Glenbard West, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-11.

Coming up, Proviso East will square off against Willowbrook at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Glenbard West, they will host Downers Grove North at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hilltoppers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
