Baseball Recap: Providence Academy's Undefeated Season over After 14 Games

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last ten games, Providence Academy finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They came up short against the New Life Academy Eagles, falling 9-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Lions were not able to get on the board.

Providence Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabriel Nathe, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Nathe is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Providence Academy fell to 13-1. As for New Life Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Providence Academy will welcome St. Cloud Cathedral at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for New Life Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Heritage Christian at 4:15 p.m.
