Baseball Recap: Clinton Takes a Loss

Clinton managed to slip by Rantoul the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Maroons lost 8-2 to the Eagles on Tuesday. The Maroons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Clinton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton Walker, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Clinton now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Rantoul, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 7-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clinton will take on Bloomington Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rantoul, they will face off against Urbana at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
