Baseball Recap: Nova Comes Up Short

Nova and St. Thomas Aquinas squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Nova had to settle for second. They lost 15-0 to the Raiders. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Titans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Nova saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Juan Zapata, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Nova has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Nova nor St. Thomas Aquinas have any future games scheduled.
