Basketball Recap: Franklin Broncos vs. Southampton Indians
Franklin easily dispatched Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech last Wednesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Franklin Broncos fell just short of the Southampton Indians by a score of 55-52 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 285th, while the Indians are ranked 129th).
Tyrell Beverly was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds for Southampton.
