Softball Recap: Tahoma Bears vs. Rogers Rams
Tahoma extended their postseason success on Saturday against Rogers. They came out on top against the Rams by a score of 15-10. This was payback for the Bears, who suffered a 6-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Alexa Ramirez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and six unearned) runs off ten hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Kalea Yelle was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Siene Martin was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Tahoma was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .459. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rogers only posted a batting average of .314.
The victory made it two in a row for Tahoma and bumps their season record up to 21-3-1. As for Rogers, their loss dropped their record down to 19-6.
Coming up, Tahoma will challenge Issaquah at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bears 2.8, the Eagles 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Rogers does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
