Football Game Preview: Quincy Blue Devils vs. Sterling Golden Warriors + How To Watch

The Quincy Blue Devils are taking a road trip to square off against the Sterling Golden Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sterling took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Quincy, who comes in off a win.

Quincy had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 22-point drubbing they dealt Galesburg on Friday. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by a 44-22 margin over the Silver Streaks. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Silver Streaks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Sawyer Harshberger was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 324 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in one score on the ground. Mason Mason helped Harshberger out on the ground, rushing for 120 yards and one TD on only 15 carries.

Quincy didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Galesburg to a completion percentage of just 36.4%. The Blue Devils weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 54.5%.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 55 points the game before, Sterling was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They lost 31-10 to Geneseo. The matchup marked the Golden Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Quincy's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Sterling, they moved to 4-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Everything came up roses for Quincy against Sterling in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 63-6 victory. In that game, the Blue Devils amassed a halftime lead of 56-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
