Basketball Recap: Milford Central Comes Up Short

Milford Central played a tough match on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Richfield Springs Central Indians 66-26. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-11.

Despite the defeat, Milford Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aidan Mertz posted eight points.

Milford Central has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Richfield Springs Central, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-8.

Milford Central has already played their next game, a 54-45 loss against Windham-Ashland-Jewett on the 3rd. Richfield Springs Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
