Football Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Summit

Kaiser typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Summit proved too difficult a challenge. They managed a 25-19 win over the Cats. The victory was all the more spectacular given the SkyHawks' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 291st, while the Cats are ranked 130th).

Summit's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.3 points on average over those games. As for Kaiser, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 13-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Summit will take on rival San Gorgonio at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kaiser is set to challenge their familiar foe Jurupa Hills at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Cats 6.1, the Spartans 15) so any points scored will be well earned.
