Basketball Recap: Savio Comes Up Short

Savio has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 35-32 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Michael's Warriors. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Eagles came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 254th, while the Warriors are ranked 574th).

Savio's defeat dropped their record down to 19-11. As for St. Michael's, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing TMI-Episcopal the next time they take the court. St. Michael's will head out to face TMI-Episcopal at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while Savio will host them on Tuesday.
