Baseball Game Preview: Roosevelt Mustangs vs. King Wolves

For the second straight game, Roosevelt will face off against King. The Mustangs will welcome the Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Considering Roosevelt has lost four straight at home and King six straight on the road, this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Roosevelt turned things around against King on Monday. They came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 10-7.

Joaquin Casillas looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Roosevelt's success: when he allows at most two hits the team is 4-2 (and 5-14 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, Roosevelt got a big performance out of Connor Gauthier, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs Gauthier has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Lucas Cozzitarto, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

King's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Roosevelt, their victory bumped their record up to 9-16.
