Volleyball Recap: Saint Andrew's Takes a Loss

Saint Andrew lost against Gulliver Prep back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Scots took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders. The Scots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Luiza Queiroz paced Saint Andrew's offense, picking up 12 kills. Queiroz got some help from Kiersten Rodholm and her nine assists. Ashlyn Cobb controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Gulliver Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daniela Torre Blanes, who had 13 assists and seven digs. That's the most digs Torre Blanes has posted over her last seven matchups.

Saint Andrew's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Gulliver Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Saint Andrew's didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Jupiter on the 9th. As for Gulliver Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Killian on the 14th.
