Volleyball Recap: Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes vs. Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs
Cape Fear Academy and Wake Christian Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Cape Fear Academy had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Hurricanes have suffered since October 15, 2024.
While Cape Fear Academy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-22, 25-20.
Frankie Osborne paced Cape Fear Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Osborne got some help from Beatrice (Bertie) Brookes and her 15 assists. Osborne and Brookes didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with three apiece.
