Basketball Game Preview: Wonewoc-Center Wolves vs. Cashton Eagles

Wonewoc-Center hasn't had much luck against Cashton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wonewoc-Center Wolves will face off against the Cashton Eagles at 7:00 p.m.

Wonewoc-Center will head into Tuesday's match out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Bangor and fell 64-29. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 432nd, while the Cardinals are ranked 29th).

Meanwhile, Cashton strolled past New Lisbon with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 46-31.

Cashton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Wonewoc-Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Wonewoc-Center ended up a good deal behind Cashton in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, losing 42-28. Can Wonewoc-Center avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
