Baseball Recap: Thornwood Thunderbirds vs. Rich Township Raptors
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Thornwood and Rich Township have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Monday. The Thunderbirds narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Raptors 11-10. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Thunderbirds also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Derrion Howard was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with six stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. He has become a key player for Thornwood: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-6 otherwise.
