Softball Recap: White Knoll Timberwolves vs. Lexington Wildcats

After flying high against Spring Valley two weeks ago, White Knoll came back down to earth. The Timberwolves fell just short of the Lexington Wildcats by a score of 11-10 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-2 back in March.

Ashlynn Blackstone and Jaden Ekovich did some serious damage despite the final result: Blackstone went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double, while Ekovich went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Reginae Porterfield, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.

White Knoll's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7-1. As for Lexington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.
